TaxiEurope Alliance: Taxi between Tradition and Innovation

Description: The conference – hosted by URI (Union of the Italian radio taxi) – was organised in two roundtables.
A first one discussed the competitive conditions of the urban mobility market; a second one discussed a project for a public-private partnership for the progressive electrification of taxi fleets. Among the guests, several MEPs, experts, firms involved in the process of electrification of the mobility sector, and local authorities.

Description: A presentation of a study focused on the Italian situation and conducted by KPMG on ‘The impact of innovation on non-scheduled mobility – Rules, Market and Public finance’, addressed to many relevant decision-makers from the European Parliament and the European Commission.

TaxiEurope Alliance Launching Event

Description: A press conference to present TaxiEurope Alliance (TEA) to the media and the EU institutions. TEA is the European association representing the interests of the taxi sector, and it has been founded by URI from Italy (Union of the Italian radio taxi), ANTRAL from Portugal (Associação Nacional dos Transportadores Rodoviarios en Automóveis Vans) and FEDETAXI from Spain (Federación Española del Taxi). The event was hosted by David Sassoli MEP, Vice President of the European Parliament and member of the TRAN Committee, and Fernando Rúas MEP.
